Manchester United are planning a summer transfer for Borussia Dortmund attacker Erling Braut Haaland.
The 21-year-old is now sidelined due to a hip flexor injury and is not anticipated to return to the field until early in 2022.

However, there is still conjecture about the future of the Norway international, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Real Madrid all reportedly interested.

The 20-time English champions, according to Bild, want to sign Haaland next summer and are willing to pay the €75 million (£63.8 million) release clause in his contract.

During his time at Red Bull Salzburg, the striker was heavily connected with a move to Old Trafford, but he eventually moved for Dortmund in January 2020.

In 69 games for BVB in all competitions, Haaland has 70 goals and 19 assists, including 13 goals and four assists in 10 appearances during the 2021-22 season.

Cristiano Ronaldo was re-signed by Manchester United last summer, but Edinson Cavani is anticipated to leave the club on a free transfer next summer, allowing for the arrival of another striker.
