Tottenham Hotspur has revealed that manager Nuno Espirito Santo has been fired after only four months in charge.
Santo is leaving with his coaching staff, which includes Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa, and Antonio Dias.
In a statement, shared on the Clubs Website Tottenham noted: “The Club can today announce that Nuno Espírito Santo and his coaching staff Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias have been relieved of their duties.”
The sacking comes just two days after the club’s 0-3 loss to Manchester United, and the search for a new coach has begun in earnest.
Spurs managing Director Fabio Paratici said: “I know how much Nuno and his coaching staff wanted to succeed and I regret that we have had to take this decision.
“Nuno is a true gentleman and will always be welcome here. We should like to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them well for the future.”

The club indicated that a further coaching update will be provided in due course, with Ryan Mason anticipated to take over as interim head coach.
Former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte and Porto coach Sergio Conceicao, who is thought to have admirers at Spurs, are among those expected to take over at the club.
Spurs face Vitesse in the Dutch league on Thursday before returning to Premier League action against Rafe Benitez’s Everton on Sunday.
