Watford has named Maduka Okoye as their new footballer in the English Premier League.

Claudio Ranieri’s side announced the 22-year-old on Monday, November 8, making him the club’s fourth Nigerian signing.

The goalkeeper joins the English club on a five-and-a-half-year deal from Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivisie.

“Watford FC is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement to sign highly-rated young goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, on a five-and-a-half-year deal that will begin on January 1, 2022,” read a statement on the club’s website.

Meanwhile, Okoye will remain with his Dutch club until the January transfer window.
